Venue and Map
Enchoen is one of Japan’s largest authentic Chinese gardens. It was built in Heisei 7 to commemorate the friendship agreement between Tottori Prefecture and China’s Hebei Province. The garden’s attention to detail is evident throughout: everything from the design to the procurement and processing of materials was carried out in China, faithfully recreating the imperial garden style favored by successive Chinese emperors. Located on the shores of Lake Togo, the garden is especially appealing for its unique atmosphere, where beautiful waterside scenery blends with Chinese architecture.
Access
Enchoen can be reached by either public transportation or car.
By train The nearest station is Matsuzaki Station on the JR San’in Main Line, about a 10-minute walk away. The area around Matsuzaki Station may become especially crowded on the day of the fireworks, particularly as the event draws to a close. Since return trains are limited, check the timetable in advance and be careful not to miss your train. Kurayoshi Station is about 10 minutes away by taxi.
By car The venue is about 60 minutes from the Yuhara IC on the Yonago Expressway, or about 8 minutes via Prefectural Route 22 from the Tomari-Togo IC on the Tottori Expressway and San’in Expressway. Parking is shared with Roadside Station Enchoen. A total of 270 spaces are available free of charge: 248 for regular vehicles and 22 for buses. However, the parking area is expected to be extremely crowded on the day of the fireworks and is highly likely to fill up. Arrive early. Traffic on surrounding roads is also expected, so allow plenty of time for your journey.
Reserved Seating and Tickets
No special paid viewing areas have been confirmed for the Enchoen Garden Fireworks. Watching the fireworks is free, but a separate admission fee is required to enter the Chinese Garden Enchoen.

Recommended Viewing Spots
Because the Enchoen Garden Fireworks are launched from inside the Chinese garden, the most exciting place to watch them is within the garden itself. It offers the best opportunity to fully enjoy the collaboration between the Chinese architecture and the fireworks. The grounds are expected to be crowded, so arriving early to secure a spot is recommended.
For those who would prefer to watch from outside the garden, here are several nearby spots. While they cannot match the immediacy of viewing from inside, you may be able to enjoy the fireworks together with the nighttime scenery of Lake Togo.
The shores of Lake Togo (around Enchoen) Since Enchoen is located on the shores of Lake Togo, it may be possible to see the fireworks from the opposite shore or other open areas nearby. The fireworks reflected on the lake are particularly beautiful and dreamlike. However, because these spots are some distance from the launch site, the sound and impact of the fireworks will be more subdued.
Roadside Station Enchoen Roadside Station Enchoen, located next to the Chinese Garden Enchoen, offers local specialties and light meals. Some of the fireworks may be visible from the grounds or surrounding area. Parking is available, but the site will be extremely crowded on the day of the fireworks, making an early arrival essential.
Megumi-no-Yu Park Located on the shores of Lake Togo, Megumi-no-Yu Park is a park where visitors can experience making onsen eggs. Although it is somewhat farther from Enchoen, it may be possible to view the fireworks across the lake. Watching the fireworks with the lake between you and the venue offers a different kind of scenery and atmosphere.
These spots offer views from outside the garden only, and the appearance of the fireworks may vary considerably depending on the launch location and wind direction. For the best experience, viewing from inside the garden is still recommended.
