Be Careful of the Last Train Home

Buses and taxis to JR Kurayoshi Station become extremely crowded after the fireworks display. If you are traveling from farther away, especially, we recommend checking the departure time of the last train from JR Kurayoshi Station in advance and allowing plenty of time.

As of July 2026, information about reserved seating for the 48th Kurayoshi Utsubuki Festival Hiten Fireworks Display has not yet been officially announced. In some years, reserved viewing areas have been set up near the venue.

2. Around Kurayoshi Figure Museum at the Round Theater: The area around Kurayoshi Figure Museum at the Round Theater, southwest of the venue, includes spots with relatively open views. It is particularly appealing for those who want to photograph the museum building together with the fireworks. 3. Around Kurayoshi Mirai Center: The area around Kurayoshi Mirai Center, located fairly close to JR Kurayoshi Station, may also offer views of the fireworks. In particular, you may be able to see the display from the rooftop or upper floors, although it will be from a distance. Its convenient access from the station makes it a useful location for those who want to leave early and avoid the crowds afterward. The event will go ahead in light rain, but it may be canceled or postponed in severe weather such as typhoons, in strong winds, or depending on the status of COVID-19 infections. Q. Are there restrooms near the venue? A. In addition to permanent public restrooms around Hiten Yume Hiroba, temporary restrooms are expected to be installed on the day of the event. However, they are expected to be extremely crowded before the fireworks begin and after they end, so we recommend using them early or taking care of it at the station or a commercial facility beforehand.

Q. Can I bring food and drinks into the venue? A. Food and drinks can generally be brought in. However, the use of fire inside the venue and any behavior that inconveniences other guests are prohibited. Please either take your trash home or separate it and dispose of it in the bins provided at the venue to help keep the area clean.
