Access

Access to the venue, Harunoyagawa Shinsui Park (原野谷川親水公園), is strongly recommended via public transport. This is because no parking is provided around the venue, and extensive traffic restrictions will be in effect on the day, leading to severe congestion on surrounding roads.

If traveling by train: The nearest stations are JR Tōkaidō Main Line (JR東海道本線) Ainō Station (愛野駅) or Fukuroi Station (袋井駅). From either station, the venue is approximately a 20-minute walk. Significant crowds are expected on the day, so please allow ample time and wear comfortable shoes.

• Detour routes and注意事项 (precautions) during congestion:
  • The area around the venue and the nearest stations are expected to be completely paralyzed by crowds just before the fireworks begin. It is advisable to arrive at the nearest station by 4:00 PM at the latest.
  • To avoid congestion on the way home, we recommend starting your departure 15-20 minutes before the finale, or waiting in your seats until after 10:00 PM when the fireworks have concluded.
  • If you are coming from the Hamamatsu (浜松) direction, use Fukuroi Station (袋井駅); if you are coming from the Shizuoka (静岡) direction, use Ainō Station (愛野駅). Distributing your station usage like this can help.
  • Charging your IC card (like SUICA, PASMO, or ICOCA) or purchasing your return ticket in advance during the daytime can help you avoid congestion at the station.

"Fukuroi Enshu Fireworks" (ふくろい遠州の花火) is an all-paid seating event within the venue. Paid viewing seats offer the best location with an unobstructed view of the fireworks, allowing you to fully experience the impact of the sound and light.

• Family Seats: 24,000 JPY (approx. $160 USD, based on 1 USD ≈ 150 JPY) for up to 4 people per section. These are box seats with a dedicated space (approx. 230cm x 170cm), where a blue sheet is laid over crushed stone. Children under 3 years old are free if seated on a lap.
• Chair Seats (Pair Ticket): 12,000 JPY (approx. $80 USD). These are reserved pipe chair seats located on the westernmost side of the paid viewing area and are typically the first to sell out each year.
• Chair Seats: 7,500 JPY (approx. $50 USD). These are reserved pipe chair seats located at the rear (south side) of the block seats. A stage is set up, and the seating is elevated approximately 1m (3.3 ft) from the ground, offering excellent visibility.

While it is possible to enjoy the fireworks from outside the paid viewing areas, the low-altitude fireworks and the sound of the melody star mines may be less impressive compared to inside the venue. Also, viewing from roads is prohibited, so please observe good manners and watch safely.

4. Kaori no Oka Chapiya (香りの丘茶ピア) Although distant from the venue, this is a hidden gem spot where you can see the launched fireworks beautifully. It's a tourist attraction with tea rooms and is accessible by car.

5. North Area of Fukuroi City Hall (袋井市役所北側エリア) Recommended for those who wish to watch at a leisurely pace. While some distance from the venue, you can still enjoy the fireworks.

What to Bring & What to Wear

To comfortably enjoy a summer night fireworks festival, advance preparation is essential.

• Leisure Sheet / Cushion: Essential for sitting on the ground. Especially if using block seating, which is on grass, a thick sheet or cushion will be beneficial.
• Drinks / Light Snacks: While there are stalls inside the venue, it's wise to prepare these in advance to avoid crowds. Especially in summer, stay hydrated to prevent heatstroke.
• Insect Repellent Spray / Uchiwa Fan (うちわ) / Sensu Fan (扇子): Riverside areas often have many mosquitoes and other insects, and you'll need to stay cool.
• Towel / Change of Clothes: Useful for wiping away sweat or in case of sudden rain.
• Rain Gear: The fireworks festival will proceed even in light rain. However, umbrellas are often prohibited during fireworks viewing, so prepare a raincoat or poncho instead.
