Twice a year, Japan puts on the greatest natural show on earth. In spring, clouds of pale-pink sakura sweep from Kyushu to Hokkaido; in autumn, the mountains catch fire with crimson maples and golden ginkgo. And twice a year, millions of visitors squeeze onto the same trains, chasing the same forecasts, missing the best viewpoints because they're simply too hard to reach.
There's a better way. OlaChill runs private seasonal charters with professional Japanese drivers, combining its own coach operations with access to a nationwide network of 1,000+ licensed bus operators across Japan. Why seasonal travel and charter buses are a perfect match
The best spots aren't next to train stations
Japan's most photogenic sakura tunnels and maple valleys — the Fuji Five Lakes, rural Nikko, the hills behind Hakone — often sit far from rail lines. A private bus takes your group directly to the viewpoint, then on to the next one, on your schedule.
Peak season means peak crowds — unless you go private
During hanami week, reserved train seats sell out weeks ahead and highway buses run standing-room only. With a charter, your seats are guaranteed, your luggage stays on board, and your picnic gear, tripods and camera bags ride with you.
Chase the forecast, not the timetable
Blossoms peak for barely a week and the front moves daily. Because OlaChill charters are private, you decide the final routing with your driver — if the petals have already fallen in the city, head for the hills where they're still opening.
Your seasonal bus: three classes, one clear day price
Our own licensed operation is based in Osaka and runs buses under 9 m (small and mid-size). Full-size 45–60-seat coaches, and trips outside the Osaka operating area, are arranged through the nationwide operator network. Every trip runs on a licensed charter bus with a professional driver.
| Vehicle | Capacity | Perfect for | Price (10h day) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Toyota Alphard | 7 passengers | Photographers, families, VIP couples | On request |
| Midi Bus | 29 seats | Friend groups, hanami parties | ¥69,000 |
| Full-size Coach | 45 seats | Clubs, companies, big tour groups | ¥99,000 |
| Extra-large Coach | 60 seats | Large tour groups, school and company trips | ¥129,000 |
All charters are priced as a 10-hour day — long enough for sunrise blossoms and illuminated evening foliage in the same trip, and extendable at ¥15,000 per extra hour. Tolls, parking and entrance fees are billed at actual cost.

Book early — seasons wait for no one
Sakura and koyo weeks are the busiest of the year for every operator in Japan, including us. Quote requests must be sent at least 2 days before pickup, but for peak bloom dates we strongly recommend booking 1–2 months ahead. Submit the free quote form on our charter page and confirm by email. Standard terms: a 10% deposit secures your bus and the remaining 90% is paid at pickup. An agreed B2B or custom quotation may set different terms — your quotation states the terms that apply. Cancellation charges apply only to the 10% deposit: cancel 14 or more days before pickup and it is refunded in full, 7–13 days before and half of it is refunded, under 7 days before and it is not refunded. The remaining 90% is only paid at pickup, so you never owe it if you cancel. This applies to 29, 45 and 60-seat buses; Toyota Alphard bookings follow the private-car payment shown when you book.
See Japan's greatest seasons the comfortable way
Groups choose a charter each season for one simple reason: licensed buses, professional Japanese drivers, and multilingual support in English, Japanese and Vietnamese turn a stressful peak-season scramble into the best day of the trip.
