Using public transportation is recommended for accessing the National New Fireworks Competition.

Access by Train

The nearest station is Kami-Suwa Station (上諏訪駅) on the JR Chuo Main Line (JR中央本線). It's a very short and convenient walk of approximately 8 minutes from Kami-Suwa Station to the lakeside of Lake Suwa. On the day of the event, the JR Chuo Main Line will be extremely crowded. Especially after the fireworks conclude, trains heading northbound (towards Tokyo) and southbound (towards Nagoya) may require long waiting times to board. Plan your travel with ample time, and if possible, check for information on temporary trains or increased services in advance. Access by Car

It's approximately 15 minutes from the Suwa Interchange (諏訪IC) on the Chuo Expressway (中央自動車道). However, on the day of the event, extensive traffic restrictions will be implemented around the venue, and parking lots will be extremely crowded. It is advisable to use temporary parking lots near the Suwa IC or slightly more distant parking areas and then transfer to a shuttle bus or public transportation.
