The Fukaya Fireworks Festival, a beloved summer tradition in Fukaya, Saitama, will be held again in 2026. Set along the Arakawa riverbed, the festival features around 4,000 fireworks lighting up the night sky. Its main appeal is the chance to enjoy spectacular fireworks—including large shaku-dama shells and starmines—from close range.
Event Overview
Held under the theme “Midsummer Fireworks Lighting Up Fukaya’s Night Sky,” the festival aims to foster community interaction as one of Fukaya’s cherished summer traditions. Because spectators can watch from the riverbed close to the launch site, they can experience the overwhelming impact of fireworks bursting almost directly overhead. The lavish, extra-large starmines that bring the show to its climax are especially unmissable.
