Getting There

The venue is Kogasaki Riverside Sports Plaza, on the banks of the Edogawa River. It is about a 35-minute walk from either Matsudo Station or Kita-Matsudo Station, so wear shoes you can walk in and allow extra time — the riverbank path gets crowded well before launch time.

With roughly 270,000 people expected, trains back from Matsudo and Kita-Matsudo are heavily congested after the finale. Leaving a little before 20:20, or waiting out the first rush at a café near the station, both work better than joining the crowd at the gates.

Paid Seating

Paid seats are on sale for 2026. They sit closest to the launch site, so the 12,000 shells fill the field of view rather than sitting far off on the horizon. If you want a guaranteed spot without arriving hours early, this is the option to take.

Food Stalls

About 55 food trucks and stalls operate at the venue. They are busiest between 18:00 and the start of the launch, so eating early is the simplest way to avoid queueing through the opening sequence.

If the Weather Turns

In severe weather the festival is canceled outright — there is no postponement date. Check the official announcement on the day before travelling, especially if you are coming from outside Chiba.
