Using public transportation is convenient for reaching the Sendai River Fireworks Festival (川内川花火大会) venue.
- By Train
- From JR Sendai Station (JR川内駅), it's approximately a 15 to 20-minute walk to the vicinity of the venue.
- On the day of the festival, special trains may operate on the JR Kagoshima Main Line (JR鹿児島本線) and Hisatsu Orange Railway Line (肥薩おれんじ鉄道線), so please check the service information in advance. For international visitors, consider using an IC card like SUICA or a Japan Rail Pass for convenient travel on JR lines.
- By Bus

- By Car
- Approximately 1,500 temporary parking spaces will be available at several locations within the city around the venue. However, these usually fill up quickly, and surrounding roads become extremely congested. We highly recommend using public transportation whenever possible.
- About Traffic Regulations
- Large-scale traffic regulations will be implemented around the venue from evening, with some sections remaining closed until after the fireworks conclude. Vehicle access will be significantly restricted, especially after 6:00 PM, so early arrival is necessary if you plan to come by car.
- Areas prone to road closures include around Taihei Bridge (太平橋), the Sendai River (川内川) riverbed, and Kaido Bridge (開戸橋).
- After the fireworks, a massive traffic jam will occur due to everyone leaving at once. Please be aware that Prefectural Road 42 (県道42号線) and the city center are expected to be particularly congested.

- Yoko-oka Kofun Park (横岡古墳公園) Although it's a bit of a distance from the venue, it's known as a hidden gem spot with few obstructions, offering a panoramic view of the entire fireworks display. As it's a park, it's also recommended for families.
- Hill behind Sendai Station (川内駅) (elevation 247m) From the 247m-high hill behind Sendai Station (川内駅), you can enjoy a beautiful view of fireworks rising alongside the nightscape of Sendai City (川内市). Unlike the close-up impact, a more fantastical fireworks scene unfolds from here.
Please remember that these hidden gem spots are not official viewing areas, so advance scouting and consideration for local residents are essential.
