Access

On the day of the Lake Suwa Festival Fireworks, significant congestion is expected every year. The use of public transportation is strongly recommended.

Access by Train

The nearest station is Kami-Suwa Station (上諏訪駅) on the JR Chuo Main Line (JR中央本線), approximately a 10-minute walk from the venue. On the day of the festival, it is recommended to arrive in the Kami-Suwa Station area by 3:00 PM. JR East (JR東日本) will operate special temporary trains for the fireworks festival.

Notes on Congestion:

• During the return period (8:00 PM – 12:00 AM), the ticket gates at Kami-Suwa Station will be separated by direction.

From the Suwa Interchange (諏訪IC) on the Chuo Expressway (中央自動車道), it usually takes about 15 minutes to reach the venue. However, on the day of the event, heavy traffic jams are expected, especially in Suwa City, and it may take 2-3 hours to get from Suwa IC to the venue.

Parking:

• Approximately 3,000 temporary parking spaces will be available, but all require advance reservations. Without a reservation, there will be almost no parking available on the day.
• Some parking lots may not allow vehicles to exit until 11:00 PM.

Ticket Types and Sales:

• General sales for paid viewing seats are primarily conducted via online lottery.
• Online lottery sales were held from Monday, June 8 to Sunday, June 21, 2026.
• Currently (as of July 14, 2026), a second round of general lottery sales is open on Ticket Pia (チケットぴあ) until 11:59 PM on Sunday, July 19. Eligible areas include the Central Area, Stone Sculpture Area, Lakeside Area, Intermittent Spring North Area, and Food Court Area.
• Tickets for the Wind Wave Pier (ウインドウェーブ桟橋) are also available through Seven Tickets (セブンチケット).
• "Atouch Ticket" (Atouchチケット), which allows ticket purchase and entry to be completed entirely on LINE, has also been introduced.
