What makes this festival special is its location. Because the venue is surrounded by mountains, the sound of the fireworks echoes off the surrounding peaks and comes rolling back. In addition, the light reflected on the surface of the Daiya River creates the sensation of being surrounded by light from above and below.

There is no dedicated parking at or around the venue. Traffic congestion is also expected, so using public transportation is strongly recommended.

The venue is approximately 4km from the Imaichi I.C. on the Nikko Utsunomiya Road, or about 7 minutes by car.
About parking: Nikko Daiya River Park and Maruyama Park do not have parking lots. The following locations can be used as public parking areas.

- Riverbank parking lot in the Shichiri area of Nikko City
- Imaichi Elementary School
- Imaichi Second Elementary School
Stopping or parking near the venue for passenger drop-offs and pickups is prohibited.

All seats are set up in the open area in front of the west parking lot at Daiya River Park, offering an elevated view directly facing the fireworks. The Special SS seats are extremely limited, with only 4 available.

1. Riverbank Near Nikko City Hall

2. Western Area of Maruyama Park
Even within Maruyama Park, one of the main venues, the western side tends to be less crowded. It is ideal for those who want to enjoy the atmosphere of the festival while avoiding the largest crowds.
3. Roppōzawa Bridge
From Roppōzawa Bridge, located at an elevation of 1,430m, you can look out over fireworks in both Nikko City and Utsunomiya City, making it a hidden gem known mainly to those in the know. It is recommended for anyone who wants to get away from the bustle and quietly enjoy the combination of fireworks and a star-filled sky. Temperatures drop at night due to the high elevation, so bring an extra layer.
Food Stall Information
A large number of food stalls will be set up mainly at the following 3 locations.
- Maruyama Park inline skating rink promenade
- Daiya River Park large parking lot
- Daiya River Park west parking lot
Local specialties unique to Nikko, including yuba croquettes and venison sashimi skewers, will also be available. Stalls are generally expected to be open from 15:00 to around 21:00.
