The Yokosuka Kaikoku Festival Kaikoku Fireworks Display lights up Yokosuka’s autumn night sky with one of the largest fireworks shows on the Miura Peninsula, featuring approximately 1万 fireworks. Every year, large crowds gather to watch large-shell fireworks, starmines, underwater fireworks, and other spectacular displays over the waters of Yokosuka. The main viewing locations include Umikaze Park, Umibe Fishing Park, and Shinko Pier.

Paid Seating and Tickets
For the 2026 Yokosuka Kaikoku Festival Kaikoku Fireworks Display, it has been announced that no paid viewing seats will be sold. In previous years, paid viewing areas were sometimes set up in part of Umikaze Park, but none will be provided in 2026.
Visitors will therefore need to use the free viewing areas or the lesser-known spots described below. Arriving early to reserve a spot and securing a viewing location away from the busiest areas will be important.
Lesser-Known Viewing Spots
Because the U.S. Naval Base Yokosuka will not be open to the public in 2026, viewing conditions are expected to differ from previous years. Taking into account the change in the launch site to offshore from Heisei Port, the following spots are recommended.
Heiwa Chuo Park This park is located on elevated ground, approximately 15 minutes on foot from Keikyu’s Yokosuka-Chuo Station. Since the park sits on a hill, you can enjoy the fireworks from above, making it a well-known hidden gem for viewing aerial fireworks. It reopened after renovations in 2021年4月 and is beautifully maintained. Reserving a spot is possible from 9時 on the day of the event.
Around the Otsu District Seawall Promenade Although it is a little farther from the launch site, this area lies along the bow-shaped shoreline stretching from central Yokosuka along Tokyo Bay and offers good views of the fireworks. Because there is a broad area from which to watch, you may be able to enjoy the display in a more relaxed setting while avoiding some of the crowds.
Maborikaigan Like the Otsu District Seawall Promenade, this area is somewhat distant from the launch site, but you can watch the fireworks from the shoreline along Tokyo Bay. It is an open, spacious location recommended for anyone who wants to enjoy the fireworks together with views of the sea.
Mikasa Park One of the standard viewing spots, but the park is currently undergoing construction, so the available viewing area may be limited. Before visiting, check the latest information on the official website or other sources. The park’s well-maintained facilities make it a comfortable and convenient place to watch the fireworks.
