Access

On the day of the fireworks festival, extensive traffic restrictions will be implemented around the venue, and significant congestion is expected. The use of public transportation is strongly recommended.

Train / Light Rail

From the East Exit of JR Utsunomiya Station (JR宇都宮駅), take the Light Rail (ライトライン) bound for Haga-Takanezawa Industrial Park (芳賀・高根沢工業団地). It takes approximately 20 minutes to reach the Tobiyama Castle Ruins (飛山城跡) stop. From the stop, the venue is about a 20 to 30-minute walk (approximately 2 km). To avoid congestion, using a transportation IC card like SUICA is recommended.

Shuttle Bus

Since there is no parking available around the venue, using a shuttle bus from a temporary parking lot is convenient.

• Canon Temporary Parking Lot (キヤノン臨時駐車場): Shuttle buses will operate. It's about a 15-minute walk from the shuttle bus stop to the venue.
• Honda West Temporary Parking Lot (ホンダ西臨時駐車場): Shuttle buses will operate. It's about a 20-minute walk from the shuttle bus stop to the venue. Shuttle bus service is scheduled to start at 2:30 PM, and cooperation with a sponsorship fee (approximately 600 JPY or more for a round trip, 200 JPY or more for a one-way trip) is requested. (Note: 1 USD ≈ 150 JPY, so 600 JPY is about $4, 200 JPY is about $1.30). Temporary parking lots have limited capacity and may become full, so early arrival is recommended.

Car

It takes about 30 minutes from the Kita-Kanto Expressway Utsunomiya-Kaminokawa Interchange (北関東自動車道宇都宮上三川IC) and about 40 minutes from the Tohoku Expressway Utsunomiya Interchange (東北自動車道宇都宮IC). However, on the day of the event, traffic restrictions will be implemented around the venue starting around 5:00 PM, and significant congestion is expected, especially on Kinudai-dori (鬼怒大通り). Since there is no parking around the venue, you will need to use a temporary parking lot and transfer to a shuttle bus. Absolutely avoid street parking, as it not only inconveniences local residents but also obstructs the passage of emergency vehicles.

Be Mindful of Last Trains/Buses for Your Return

After the fireworks festival ends, the Light Rail (ライトライン) and shuttle bus stops will be extremely crowded. Please check the last train times from JR Utsunomiya Station (JR宇都宮駅) in advance and allow plenty of time for your return journey.

Although it's a bit of a distance from the venue, there are fewer obstructions to the view, making it recommended for those who want to enjoy the fireworks in a calm setting.

• Kamashin Kiyohara Techno Store (かましん清原テクノ店) Known as a hidden gem spot relatively close to the venue, where you can enjoy powerful fireworks. Since it's not designated as a viewing area, it's best to stop by while you're shopping.
