The Suito Kurawanka Fireworks Festival is a community-focused event held at Yodogawa Riverside Park in Hirakata and Takatsuki, Osaka Prefecture. Revived in 2022 after approximately 20 years, it aims to become “a fireworks festival that continues for a hundred years.” Its defining feature is that the number of fireworks reflects the number of children born in Hirakata, Takatsuki and Katano during the previous year, plus 100 memorial fireworks for those who have died. The 2026 event is scheduled to launch 4,877 fireworks and includes a drone show. The Suito Music Festival, food trucks and food stalls are also planned at both venues.

Venue and map
The festival has two official venues along the Yodo River: the Hirakata venue in the Hirakata district of Yodogawa Riverside Park and the Takatsuki venue in the Otsuka district. The organisers list the Hirakata venue around Mitsuyacho, Hirakata, and the Takatsuki venue around Otsuka, Takatsuki.
Getting there
Extensive traffic restrictions apply on the day, and surrounding roads become very congested. Public transport is strongly recommended.
- Hirakata venue
- The official FAQ identifies Keihan Hirakata-shi Station as the nearest station. Follow the event signs and staff directions from the station to the riverside venue.
- Takatsuki venue
- The official venue is the Otsuka district of Yodogawa Riverside Park in Takatsuki. Because the organiser publishes detailed traffic restrictions for the Otsuka area, check the current official access map before departure.
Crowd-related precautions After the fireworks, roads and public transport become extremely crowded. Allow plenty of time and check your return journey in advance. The organisers state that venue parking is unavailable and nearby roads include vehicle-restriction zones. Do not park on surrounding roads or in private commercial car parks without permission.
Paid seating and tickets
Paid viewing areas are available at both Hirakata and Takatsuki. The official 2026 sales information lists the following main seat types and prices, including tax.
- Table for 6: ¥42,000.
- Table for 4: ¥32,000.
- Accessible table seating: ¥42,000 for up to 6 people.
- Pair of chair seats: ¥12,000 for 2 people.
- Individual chair seat: ¥4,500.

The organisers also sell selected chair and pair-chair seats to overseas customers through KKday. Preschool children are not counted toward capacity when they can share an adult's space under the organiser's conditions; check the latest ticket rules before purchase.
Viewing and safety guidance
The safest choice is to use the official Hirakata or Takatsuki viewing areas and follow the organiser's on-site instructions. The event is held on the Yodo River, not the Katsura River.
Hirakata venue — Yodogawa Riverside Park, Hirakata district This is one of the two official venues and includes paid and event-use areas close to the display.
Takatsuki venue — Yodogawa Riverside Park, Otsuka district This is the official venue on the Takatsuki side of the Yodo River. The organisers publish separate access and traffic-restriction information for this district.
Areas around Hirakata Ohashi Traffic and pedestrian restrictions apply around the bridge and riverbanks. Do not stop in restricted passages, on embankment routes needed for circulation, or anywhere staff prohibit viewing.
Other riverside or commercial-property viewpoints Do not assume a rooftop, shop car park or private property is open for fireworks viewing. The organiser specifically asks visitors not to enter private property or use nearby shop and supermarket parking without permission.
