Alternative viewing spots

The following relatively calmer options are available outside paid seating. Places described as quieter can still become crowded through social-media attention, so arriving early is recommended.

  1. Around Unane Multipurpose Plaza and Unane Baseball Ground Slightly away from the main Setagaya-side venue, this area may avoid the heaviest crowds. It is described as offering a more relaxed view of displays from both banks. Some ground is grassy, which may also suit families.

  2. Tamagawadai Park This elevated riverside park offers an open, broad view. Its distance from the venue means the fireworks look smaller, but it is suggested for those seeking a quieter atmosphere.

  3. Tamagawa Takashimaya's rooftop garden Approximately 5 minutes on foot from Futako-tamagawa Station, the rooftop garden is near the launch area and is described as a popular place to see both the Setagaya and Kawasaki displays. Restaurants and toilets are nearby, although crowds are expected.

  4. Around Koyama Driving School's Futakotamagawa campus Just behind the Setagaya paid viewing area, this spot is described as providing an impact similar to watching from inside the venue. Nearby stalls and toilets make it popular. Roads become very crowded after the display, so consider starting the return journey before the finale.

  5. The riverbanks at Noborito On the Kawasaki side of the Tama River, farther from the Setagaya venue, Noborito's riverbanks are suggested for families seeking more space. The open setting may provide a relatively calmer viewing experience.
