The defining feature of the Chofu Fireworks is Hanabillusion. Fireworks are launched in perfect synchronization with the music, creating a carefully choreographed musical experience rather than simply a series of large explosions in the sky.
Another distinctive feature is that the display continues for approximately 1 hour, from 18:15〜19:15. While many fireworks festivals concentrate their displays into a shorter period, this event is designed to be enjoyed at a more relaxed pace.
Because it is held in September, it is also cooler and less physically exhausting than fireworks festivals held in midsummer—an especially practical advantage.

The closest venue to a station is the Keio-Tamagawa Venue (a 10-minute walk). It is the best choice for those who want to minimize the walking involved.
Access
There is no parking around the venues. Please use public transportation.
Buses are also available, but traffic restrictions and congestion are expected on the day. Since travel times can be unpredictable, taking the train is the most reliable option.
With an expected attendance of approximately 300,000, the stations will be extremely crowded after the event. If you plan to catch the last train, check the timetable in advance.

Lesser-Known Viewing Spots
The opposite bank on the Kawasaki City side of the Chofu Fireworks is a good place to aim for. Located across the Tama River, it is considerably less crowded.
1. Tama River riverbank on the Kawasaki City side (around Inadazutsumi Station and Nakanoshima Station)
In addition to helping you avoid the crowds, this area offers the practical advantage that depending on the wind direction, it may be less affected by smoke. Fireworks can be difficult to see when smoke lingers, making this an important consideration.
2. Inada Park (Kawasaki City side)
The park is within walking distance of Inadazutsumi Station. It is relatively uncrowded and offers good views. Toilets are also available, making it suitable for a long stay.
3. Shimofuda Park and Kamifuda Park
Despite being close to the Fuda Venue, these parks are not as crowded, allowing you to watch the fireworks in a more relaxed setting. They are ideal for those who want to enjoy the atmosphere of the venue while avoiding the crowds.
4. Riverbank near Tsurukawa Kaido
This area offers good views of the fireworks at the Tama River venue and makes it relatively easy to secure a spot.
5. Ito-Yokado Kokuryo store rooftop
The nearby indoor facilities are convenient, and you will not have to worry about finding toilets or purchasing supplies.
