Haneda or Narita: which airport is more convenient?

Haneda is generally the more convenient airport for travelers staying in Tokyo because it is closer to the city center. Narita is farther away, but it serves many international routes and may be the best option for your itinerary or airfare.

The best airport pickup is not always the airport closest to your hotel. Consider your flight schedule, group size, hotel check-in time and onward travel plans.

Prices: fixed per car into central Tokyo

OlaChill's airport transfer is priced per car, one way — not per person. For the two routes into Tokyo's 23 wards the price is fixed and shown before you pay:

• Haneda Airport (HND) ↔ Tokyo 23 wards: ¥11,700 per car, one way
• Narita Airport (NRT) ↔ Tokyo 23 wards: ¥19,500 per car, one way

Both prices are for the Toyota Alphard and include the driver, fuel, expressway tolls and waiting time; a delayed landing costs nothing extra. Parking outside the agreed route is not included. The fixed price is paid online when you book, cancellation is free up to 24 hours before pickup, and bookings made less than 7 days ahead carry a 10% rush surcharge.

Tokyo Disney Resort, Yokohama, Hakone and other destinations are not on the fixed-price list: send the address and the team quotes the trip before you pay.

Tell OlaChill in advance if your group needs child seats. Japan has specific rules and practical considerations for children traveling by car, and the correct seat depends on the child’s age, size and the type of seat requested.

When making an inquiry, include:

• Any accessibility or mobility requirements

Child seats are free when requested in advance, but they can change how the seats are arranged, so request them before arrival rather than assuming one will be in the car on the day.

What to prepare before landing

A few simple preparations can make the meeting much faster:

• Save the booking confirmation on your phone and keep an offline copy
• Write down your hotel name and address in English and Japanese
• Keep your phone charged after the flight
• Turn on roaming or arrange airport Wi-Fi or an eSIM
• Confirm your terminal before departure
• Wait until everyone has collected luggage before leaving the arrival area
• Contact the support team if immigration or baggage delays significantly change your arrival

If your flight changes before departure, send the updated flight number and arrival details as soon as possible. This gives the team the best chance of adjusting the pickup plan.

Is an Alphard right for your group?

Will the driver wait if my flight is delayed?

The team can monitor the flight status and adjust the pickup plan where possible. Airport waiting and parking conditions still apply, so follow the meeting instructions and contact support after landing if your arrival changes significantly.

Where will I meet the driver?

The meeting location depends on the airport and terminal. Your confirmation will provide the agreed area, and the driver will usually hold a name board with the lead passenger’s name or another confirmed identifier.

Can I request a child seat?

Yes, at no charge. Request child seats when you book and give each child's age and approximate size so the right seat type is fitted.

Is the fare per person?

No. The fare is per car, one way: ¥11,700 from Haneda or ¥19,500 from Narita to Tokyo's 23 wards in an Alphard, whether one guest or six ride. Other destinations are quoted per car before you pay.

Can the Alphard stop at more than one hotel?

Additional stops may be possible, but they must be requested in advance. Multiple destinations can change the route, timing and quote, so include every stop when you submit your booking details.
