Getting There

Visitors are encouraged to use public transportation to reach the venue of the Yoshinogawa Festival Summer Evening Fireworks.

By train
The venue is approximately a 10-minute walk south from Gojo Station on the JR Wakayama Line.
The station becomes extremely crowded on the day of the fireworks, so purchasing your return ticket in advance is recommended.

By car
The venue is approximately 5 minutes by car from the Gojo Interchange on the Keinawa Expressway, or approximately 25 minutes via National Route 24 from the Katsuragi Interchange on the Minami-Hanna Road.
Approximately 2,500 free parking spaces will be available around the venue, but they are likely to be full by 17:00, as in previous years.
Large-scale traffic restrictions will also be in effect around the venue from 17:00 to around 22:30, with some sections closed to vehicles, so please take care.
To avoid traffic congestion, consider arriving early, using public transportation, or booking a reserved parking space through services such as “akippa.”

About the last train
Check the last-train time from JR Gojo Station in advance and allow plenty of time for your journey. The station is particularly crowded immediately after the fireworks end, so planning your return trip is essential.

• Heartpia Sakura This funeral hall lies between the launch site and Gojo Chuo Park. Because it is slightly higher than the main venue, there are fewer obstructions and visitors can see the fireworks across the sky. Restrooms are also available.
• Aeon Gojo Store rooftop parking lot Although it is some distance from the launch site, the fireworks may be visible from the rooftop parking lot. It is an option for families with young children who want to avoid the crowds. However, be sure to follow the store’s rules and observe proper etiquette while watching the fireworks.
