Highlights

Fireworks at Fujimi Lake Park for the First Time in 7 Years

Fireworks will be launched at Fujimi Lake Park for the first time in 7 years. The display is being held to commemorate the completion of the major renovation of Tsuru no Maihashi, which was completed on March 27, 2026. Since it is unclear when fireworks will next be held at the same location, this year’s event is particularly special.

Tsuru no Maihashi and the Fireworks

Tsuru no Maihashi, Japan’s longest wooden triple-span drum bridge, will be silhouetted by the glow of the fireworks. Having the bridge in the foreground creates a more dimensional scene than fireworks alone. Seeing the bridge immediately after its renovation is another feature unique to this year.

Water Starmines and Large Shells

Because the display takes place over a lake, water starmines will be launched, with their light reflected on the surface of the water. Large shells will also be fired, and the program runs for a full approximately 60 minutes.

Access

By Train

The venue is approximately 10 minutes by taxi from Mutsu-Tsuruda Station on the JR Gonō Line.

The venue is not within walking distance of the station. Since the number of taxis is limited, it is recommended that you arrange transportation for the return trip in advance. The event is expected to finish at around 20:30.

By Car

The venue is approximately 35 minutes from the Namioka IC on the Tohoku Expressway.

500 spaces of free parking will be available. With approximately 20,000 visitors expected, arriving early is recommended.

Whether shuttle buses will operate and their schedules will be updated on the official website as information becomes available. Check the latest details before setting out.

Paid Seating and Tickets

There is no paid seating. Admission is free.

Viewing Spots

1. Inside Fujimi Lake Park (at the Edge of the Main Venue)

Since the park itself is spacious, you can avoid the heaviest crowds and still watch the display from areas away from the center. If you want to frame Tsuru no Maihashi and the fireworks together, look for a spot where the bridge is visible.

2. Around the Tanchōzuru Nature Park

Located next to the main venue, this area offers a slightly different viewing angle. Since most people gather at the main venue, it tends to be relatively शांत and relaxed.

3. The Far Side of Lake Tsugaru Fujimi

From the opposite shore, across the lake, you may be able to view the fireworks and their reflections on the water straight on. The greater distance also keeps you farther from the crowds.
