Venue and Map

The venue for the Mizuhashi Bridge Festival Fireworks is along the Shiraiwa River as it flows through Mizuhashi, Toyama City. Fireworks are launched offshore from the mouth of the Shiraiwa River and from the center of the river, especially from rafts floating on the water. This allows spectators to experience the fireworks from an exceptionally close distance. The areas around Tōzai Bridge and Ura Bridge are the main viewing zones, but heavy crowds are expected as the launch time approaches.

Access

The Mizuhashi Bridge Festival Fireworks can be reached by either public transportation or car, but public transportation is recommended because extensive traffic restrictions will be in place on the day of the event.

By train The nearest station is Mizuhashi Station on the Ainokaze Toyama Railway. It takes approximately 12分~20分 on foot from Mizuhashi Station to the venue. The journey from Toyama Station takes approximately 12分 on the Ainokaze Toyama Railway. Mizuhashi Station becomes extremely crowded after the fireworks end. Check the time of the last train in advance and allow plenty of time for your return journey. Timetables for the Ainokaze Toyama Railway can also be checked on the official Mizuhashi Bridge Festival website.

By car The venue is approximately 15分 from the Hokuriku Expressway's Namerikawa IC or Tachikawa IC, and approximately 10分 from the Kamiichi Smart Interchange. A free temporary parking area with space for approximately 3000 vehicles will be provided near the venue. However, it is highly likely to fill up early, and roads throughout the area around the venue will be closed or subject to traffic restrictions from 6:00 p.m. Because congestion is expected due to traffic restrictions, particularly during the departure period, follow the instructions of staff and consider using detour routes. Parking a little farther from the venue and walking there is another way to avoid the crowds.

Paid Seating and Tickets

In 2026, no paid viewing seats will be sold for the Mizuhashi Bridge Festival Fireworks. Visitors will therefore enjoy the fireworks from free viewing areas, such as the riverbanks and bridges around the venue. Arriving early to secure a spot is recommended.

Less-Crowded Viewing Spots

The Mizuhashi Bridge Festival Fireworks is a large-scale event that typically draws approximately 30,000 visitors, making the area around the main venue extremely crowded. Here are 3 spots where you may be able to enjoy the fireworks in a relatively relaxed setting.

  1. A riverbank farther along the Shiraiwa River Try looking for a spot along the Shiraiwa River a little farther from the main viewing areas around Tōzai Bridge and Ura Bridge. Although it is somewhat farther from the launch site, there are fewer obstructions to the view, so you may be able to see the fireworks display as a whole. Riverbanks along the route from Mizuhashi Station toward the venue, where visitors are more dispersed, are especially promising.

  2. Around Mizuhashi Fishing Port Since fireworks are also launched offshore from the mouth of the Shiraiwa River, you may be able to watch them from around Mizuhashi Fishing Port. You may enjoy the display from a different angle than at the main venue, but access to the fishing port may be restricted to authorized personnel, and some areas may be subject to traffic restrictions. Check local conditions in advance and watch from a safe location.

  3. Around Mizuhashi Fureai Plaza Mizuhashi Fureai Plaza, located along the route from Mizuhashi Station to the venue, and its surrounding area are a little farther from the main venue, so the crowds may be lighter. It is unclear whether the plaza itself is suitable for viewing, but you may be able to enjoy the sound and light of the fireworks from open areas nearby. However, because it is some distance from the launch site, the display may feel less powerful than at the main venue.

These less-crowded viewing spots may be inaccessible depending on conditions and restrictions on the day. Always follow instructions at the site and enjoy the fireworks safely.
