Access
Visitors are encouraged to use public transportation to reach the venue.
By train It is approximately a 15- to 20-minute walk from Isesaki Station on the JR Ryomo Line or Tobu Isesaki Line. The area around the station and venue becomes extremely crowded on the day of the fireworks festival. Allow plenty of time and be sure to check the time of the last train home.
By car It takes approximately 10 minutes from the Komagata IC on the Kita-Kanto Expressway, approximately 15 minutes from the Isesaki IC, approximately 30 minutes from the Honjo-Kodama IC on the Kan-Etsu Expressway, and approximately 40 minutes from the Takasaki IC. The free parking lot at the Isesaki Auto Race Track may be available as temporary event parking (with space for approximately 6,500 vehicles). Lesser-Known Viewing Spots
Several lesser-known viewing spots are known for those who want to enjoy the fireworks while avoiding the crowds.
North side of the Hirose River Compared with the official viewing area on the south side of the Hirose River, the north side tends to be relatively less crowded. You may be able to enjoy powerful views of the fireworks, but never enter private property.
Ito-Yokado Isesaki store rooftop parking lot The rooftop parking lot may be opened to the public on the day of the fireworks festival. Although set-piece fireworks may be difficult to see, the aerial fireworks are said to be beautifully visible. Please appreciate the store’s generosity and use the space courteously.
Cycling path along the Hirose River embankment The cycling path running beneath Miyako Bridge, near the Isesaki Auto Race Track, is also considered one of the lesser-known viewing spots. You should be able to enjoy spectacular fireworks from here.
Tsunatori Chuo Park and Miyago Daini Elementary School Isesaki Municipal Miyago Daini Elementary School and the adjacent Tsunatori Chuo Park are also suitable places for viewing the fireworks. Since there is playground equipment, families with children can visit from earlier in the day.
