Getting There

Using public transportation to reach the venue is strongly recommended.

  • Train Get off at Izumi-Chuo Station on the Sendai Subway Nanboku Line, then walk approximately 5 minutes from Exit West 1 to reach the venue.

  • Car The venue is approximately 10 minutes from the Tohoku Expressway’s Izumi IC, but extensive traffic restrictions will be implemented around the venue on the day of the festival. In particular, roads near the venue entrance will be closed to vehicles during the fireworks period (19:00~21:00頃), and some Miyagi Kotsu bus routes are also scheduled to operate on detours. As there is no dedicated parking at the venue, public transportation is recommended.

  • Be Careful Not to Miss the Last Train Home Izumi-Chuo Station is expected to be extremely crowded after the fireworks. Allow plenty of time and check your return train schedule in advance.

Less-Crowded Viewing Spots

The area around the venue becomes extremely crowded on the day of the fireworks, so it can be helpful to know some less-crowded spots where you can watch from a little farther away.

  1. Reserved Seating at Yurtec Stadium Sendai Although these seats require payment, the stadium is adjacent to the venue, making this the most reliable option for enjoying the fireworks comfortably while avoiding the crowds.

  2. Lawn Area on the South Side of Nanakita Park This is considered one of the easier places to see the fireworks outside the reserved seating areas. However, spreading out blue tarps or otherwise reserving a spot in the park is prohibited until 16:00, and anything found may be removed.

  3. Elevated Spots Around Izumi-Chuo Station No specific locations have been identified, but elevated areas generally offer distant views of fireworks. Try looking for a hill or other elevated spot around Izumi-Chuo Station with an unobstructed view.

  4. Around Selva and Ario Sendai Izumi Selva and Ario Sendai Izumi are shopping centers directly connected to Izumi-Chuo Station. They are relatively close to the venue, and it may be possible to see the fireworks from their rooftops or other locations. However, parking lots and surrounding roads become extremely crowded on the day, and parking facilities may close or take 2~3時間 to exit. Public transportation is therefore strongly recommended. Unauthorized entry onto private property is prohibited, so please follow each facility’s rules when viewing the fireworks.

【Note】 Parking on roads around the venue, stopping on sidewalks to watch, and entering private property or commercial facilities without permission to view the fireworks are prohibited. Follow the rules and observe good manners so you can enjoy the fireworks safely.
