• Walk further, leave sooner. Agree a pickup point 15 to 20 minutes' walk from the stadium in the direction of Nagoya. The group clears the worst of the crowd on foot while the coach avoids the inner cordon.
• Eat first, leave later. Stay near the stadium for an hour after the final (the coach waits at its location), then depart when the roads have thinned. Costs an hour of vehicle time; often saves half of it back.
