No. The rental price covers the kimono and the full accessory set, but not hair styling. You can add hair styling for ¥1,500 when you book or at the shop.

Yes. The site and the whole booking flow — plan details, options, confirmation — are available in twelve languages, so you can read every step before you pay.

Asakusa in Tokyo suits Sensoji, the Kaminarimon gate and the Nakamise shopping lane. Kiyomizu in Kyoto suits Kiyomizu-dera and the Higashiyama slopes. Both shops carry the same twelve plans at the same prices, so pick by the city you are in.

Yes. The Boy's Kimono and Girl's Kimono plans are ¥8,000 each at the shop (¥7,200 when booked online) and include a children's accessory set. Both shops carry them.

A yukata is the lighter, unlined summer garment — simpler to wear and our lowest-priced adult plan, from ¥4,000 at the shop (¥3,600 when booked online). A kimono has more layers and a more formal look, from the everyday Komongi at ¥5,500 (shop price) up to the long-sleeved Furisode.

Yes. Add the next-day return option (翌日返却) for ¥1,100 and bring the kimono back the following morning — useful for evening illuminations or a late dinner.

Yes. The hotel return option is ¥1,100: you leave the kimono at your hotel instead of walking back to the shop. Handy on a departure day.

In hot months the yukata is the sensible choice: it is unlined and much lighter than a full kimono. On wet days plan shorter walks and covered streets, such as the Nakamise arcade in Asakusa, and take your time — the staff can help you adjust before you head out.

Choosing your kimono usually takes longer than putting it on. Come with a little time in hand, and if you have added a hair set, allow extra room in your schedule for it.

Booking is done online, and whether a slot is free today depends on availability at that shop — we cannot promise it in advance. Message us on LINE or WhatsApp and we will check the day for you.

Kimono rental can be cancelled free of charge 2 or more days before your booking date. Cancelling on the day itself is charged at 100%.

Two ways: pay online when you book, or pay at the store counter on the day in Japanese yen cash or by card. You choose at the last step of the booking form; the amount for each is shown before you confirm.
