OlaChill's Kyoto kimono shop is in Kiyomizu, Higashiyama. From there you can walk to Kiyomizu-dera and Gion, while Fushimi Inari and Arashiyama are a train ride away. This guide helps you plan your photo spots around that.
Address: 〒605-0862 京都府京都市東山区清水4丁目190-3 B1F. Open 09:00–18:00. The shop is in the Kiyomizu area of Higashiyama, so you step out in kimono and walk up to Kiyomizu-dera. Every plan costs the same as at the Tokyo shop, starting at ¥2,700.
Gion Hanamachi is Kyoto's oldest geisha district: two- and three-storey wooden houses and stone-paved lanes, and in the evening you may see maiko on their way to appointments. Yasaka Shrine sits at its east end. From the Kiyomizu shop it is a walk downhill through Higashiyama, so it pairs naturally with Kiyomizu-dera in one outing.
Thousands of red torii gates climb Mt Inari behind Fushimi Inari Taisha. The summit (233 m) takes 2–3 hours, but the first stretch of gates is enough for photos (about 30 minutes). Go early in the morning or at golden hour for fewer people. It is a train ride from Higashiyama, so plan it as a separate part of the day.
Arashiyama is known for its Bamboo Grove and Togetsukyo Bridge. The bamboo is best 7–9 am; the bridge works all day, especially at golden hour with the mountains behind. Tenryu-ji (UNESCO) and Iwatayama Monkey Park are nearby, and the walking is flat. It is on the far west side of Kyoto, so in kimono it works best as its own day or half-day.
**One area**: Kiyomizu-dera and Gion are both walkable from the shop — the easiest kimono day. **Two areas in a day**: start in Higashiyama in the morning, then take the train to Fushimi Inari for golden hour. **Over two days**: add next-day return (+¥1,100) and bring the kimono back by 10:00 the next morning — Higashiyama and Gion on day 1, Arashiyama on day 2.
