Helicopter tours in Japan
Large helicopters, 4 to 5 seats
4 flights · from ¥93,400
Most helicopters in our range seat three. A group of four or five either splits into two flights or takes one of the four flights here — one cabin, everyone seeing the same view at the same moment. All four depart Tokyo Heliport: Tokyo 30 minutes by day over the Skytree, the Imperial Palace, Tokyo Tower, Rainbow Bridge and Odaiba; the 30-minute sunset version takes off in daylight and returns once the city is lit; Mt. Fuji 30–35 minutes with an Alphard car transfer, flying to Oshino and Lakes Yamanaka and Kawaguchi; and the 120-minute grand circuit around the mountain, the Five Lakes and Hakone, returning over Sagami Bay. A five-seat helicopter takes 330 kg of passengers in total — still 120 kg per seat, and the pilot balances the aircraft on exactly the weights you declare.
Frequently asked questions
- What are the seat and weight limits?
- Each seat takes up to 120 kg; total passenger weight is capped at 220 kg on a three-seat helicopter and 330 kg on a five-seat one. The pilot balances the aircraft with exactly these numbers, so we ask for every passenger's real weight at booking. A few kilos understated and the flight is cancelled at the pad.
- What happens if the weather is bad?
- The weather decides the flight, and the decision reaches your inbox at a fixed hour: departures between 09:00 and 12:00 are settled by 18:00 the evening before; from 12:30 by 10:00 on the day; from 16:30 by 15:00 on the day. If weather cancels the flight you choose a full refund or a free move to another date.
