Venue and Map
The main venue for the Yodoe Bon Odori Fireworks Festival is Yodoe Fishing Port and the surrounding Yodoe Beach area in Yonago City, Tottori Prefecture. The biggest attraction is being able to watch fireworks launched from the beach at close range, with the underwater launch fireworks offering an especially powerful spectacle. The area around the venue is also bustling with Bon Odori festivities, creating a warm, welcoming local atmosphere.
Getting There
By Train
The venue is extremely convenient to reach by public transportation, just about a 5-minute walk from Yodoe Station on the JR San'in Main Line. As crowds are expected on the day, please allow plenty of time for your journey.
Please be careful not to miss the last train home: Around the fireworks festival's ending time of 21:00, JR Yodoe Station is also expected to be crowded. Check the JR timetable in advance and be careful not to miss your train.
By Car
Parking lots are available around the venue, but there are typically only a limited number of spaces, so arriving early is recommended.

Reserved Seating and Tickets
As of July 2026, no official announcement regarding reserved seating for the 2026 Yodoe Bon Odori Fireworks Festival has been confirmed. In many years, few paid viewing areas are provided, or none are set up at all. For the latest information, please check the festival's official website and announcements.
Less Crowded Viewing Spots
Since Yodoe Beach serves as the main venue for the Yodoe Bon Odori Fireworks Festival, the fireworks can be viewed from a relatively wide area. Although we could not find any officially designated “secret viewing spots,” here are several locations to consider if you would like to avoid the crowds and enjoy the fireworks at a more relaxed pace.
Areas extending east and west along Yodoe Beach Moving a little farther east or west along Yodoe Beach, away from Yodoe Fishing Port and the Bon Odori venue, may lead you to areas with relatively lighter crowds. You will be farther from the launch site, but with few obstructions, you should be able to see the fireworks across the sky. Bringing a leisure sheet and securing a spot early is recommended.
Distant views from slightly elevated areas nearby Around Yodoe-cho, there are scattered gently elevated areas a little inland from the coastline. For example, from the rural area south of Yodoe Fishing Port or a low hill, you may be able to quietly enjoy the fireworks spreading across the night sky, although they will be viewed from a distance. Be sure to check in advance for buildings or trees that could block your view.
A little farther from the Yodoe Fishing Port area From locations a short distance away from Yodoe Fishing Port, where the fireworks are launched, such as the opposite shore of the harbor or tucked-away areas among the port's winding terrain, you may be able to enjoy the fireworks from relatively close by while avoiding the main crowds. However, please observe proper etiquette so as not to inconvenience fishing port workers or local residents.
These suggestions are based only on general assumptions and do not guarantee the crowd levels or visibility on the day. For the best viewing experience, we recommend watching from the main venue.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Will there be food stalls at the venue? A. In typical years, numerous local vendors and food stalls set up around the Bon Odori and fireworks venues, adding to the festival atmosphere. You can enjoy local specialties and other festival food.
Q. Are restrooms available? A. Portable toilets are scheduled to be installed around the venue. However, lines are expected during busy periods, so we recommend using them early.
Q. Can I bring my pet? A. Although there is no clear statement on the festival's official website or elsewhere, bringing pets may not be recommended at an event attended by many people. In particular, if your pet is sensitive to the sound of fireworks, please consider leaving it at home.
