Getting There

Kam無川 Riverside Park can be reached by both public transportation and car.

By train The venue is approximately 15–20 minutes on foot from Nirasaki Station on the JR Chuo Main Line. Heavy crowds are expected on the day of the fireworks festival, so allow plenty of time for your journey. The station is also expected to be extremely crowded after the festival ends. We recommend checking the time of the last train in advance and planning your return accordingly.

By car The venue area is approximately 10 minutes from the Nirasaki IC on the Chuo Expressway via National Route 20. There is no parking at the venue. A paid parking lot requiring advance reservations is available at the lot north of Nirasaki Nishi Junior High School (approximately 140 vehicles, 2,000円 per vehicle), with sales scheduled to begin at 10:00 on 2026年7月22日(Wednesday). In addition, several free temporary parking lots with a combined capacity of approximately 1,500 vehicles will be set up around the venue. Free shuttle buses are also scheduled to operate from Nirasaki Chuo Park and the Nirasaki Municipal General Sports Ground. They are scheduled to run from 17:30 until around 22:30 at intervals of 20–30 minutes, but please note that delays may occur depending on traffic conditions.

Traffic restrictions Traffic restrictions will be enforced around the venue on the day of the fireworks festival. In particular, the cycling path will be closed from around 19:20, when the fireworks are scheduled to begin, until 20:30. The cycling path from the south entrance of the venue to the front of the paid seating area will also be closed from around 18:30 as the lantern procession passes through, so arriving early is recommended. Roads around the venue are expected to be extremely congested. Allow plenty of time for your journey or consider using public transportation.

Paid Seating and Tickets

The Takeda no Sato Nirasaki Fireworks Festival offers paid viewing areas where visitors can watch the fireworks comfortably and at their leisure. Located directly in front of the launch site, the paid seating area provides an excellent vantage point for enjoying the spectacular display.

• Chair seat (single): 3,000円 (approximately 300 seats)
  • Folding pipe chairs are provided.
• Chair seats (pair): 5,000円 (375 pairs)
  • Two folding pipe chairs are provided.
• Masure seat (blue-sheet seating for 4 people): 10,000円 (250 sets)
  • A blue sheet is laid out within a 2.1m×2.1m space.
• Table seat (for 4 people): 20,000円 (30 sets)
  • Four folding pipe chairs are provided at a 1.8m-long table.

※Ticketing fees and other charges apply separately to the prices above. ※Preschool children may attend chair and masure seating without being counted toward the number of people, but a ticket is required if you wish to secure a seat for the child.

• Other: Tickets are assigned from the front rows in the order applications are received, and sales will end once tickets sell out, so early purchase is recommended.

Enjoy the fireworks in style with a glass of one of the celebrated wines Nirasaki, a wine-producing region, is proud of. The “Newlywed Invitation” program will also invite 5 couples, or 10 people, to special pair seats free of charge. The program is intended for newlywed couples who have recently joined the Nirasaki community.

Less-Crowded Viewing Spots

The area around the venue is expected to be extremely crowded, so here are several less-crowded spots for those who would like to enjoy the fireworks away from the main crowds.

1. Amariyama Parking Lot Located a short drive from the venue, Amariyama Parking Lot is known as a spot where visitors can enjoy the fireworks from above—a different way to experience the display. It is also famous for its night views, allowing visitors to enjoy a collaboration of fireworks and city lights. Driving is recommended, but parking is limited, so arriving early is advisable.

2. Nirasaki Chuo Park Relatively close to the venue and also used as a shuttle bus stop, Nirasaki Chuo Park is another good viewing spot. Although the park is mainly centered around an athletics stadium, it also has a playground with athletic equipment and large combination play structures where children can play during the day. Restrooms are available, making it a convenient option for families.

3. Ginga Tetsudo Observatory Park Although a little farther from the venue, this park has an observation deck and is locally known as a night-view spot. The park’s name is said to come from the way the lights of passing trains look like a galaxy railway. The combination of fireworks and moving lights offers a distinctive kind of beauty. It is conveniently located approximately 4 minutes by car from the Chuo Expressway Nirasaki Interchange, but parking is limited to 5 vehicles, so please plan accordingly.

4. Life Garden Nirasaki This shopping center is located close to the venue and is easy to use thanks to its large parking lot. With shopping, dining, and restrooms readily available, it is recommended for visitors who want to spend the evening comfortably. However, many regular customers visit for reasons other than the fireworks, so please observe good manners while watching the display.

5. Shich里岩 Underground Shelter Peace Park Located approximately 1.3km northwest of Kam無川 Riverside Park, Shich里岩 Underground Shelter Peace Park is another spot where visitors can watch the fireworks in relative peace. From around the Peace Kannon statue built atop Shich里岩, you can relax and take in the display. Since it is some distance from JR stations, traveling by car is convenient.

Q. Can the fireworks festival be canceled? A. Yes. The event will be canceled in severe weather and will not be postponed. Please check the official website and announcements from the Nirasaki Tourism Association before setting out to confirm whether the event will go ahead.

Q. Will there be food stalls at the venue? A. Yes. Numerous food stalls will line the venue and add to the festival atmosphere. They are scheduled to begin operating at around 15:30. You can also enjoy B-grade gourmet specialties unique to Nirasaki.

Q. Can I reserve a spot in the general admission viewing area? A. A general admission viewing area is available on the north side of the venue, where visitors may spread out leisure sheets and watch the fireworks. However, this year there is no specifically designated time from which spot reservations are permitted, and visitors are expected to act within the bounds of common sense. Please note that spots reserved in ways that interfere with event preparations may be removed. Some areas, including walkways, stairs, and flower beds along the cycling path, cannot be used for viewing, so please follow staff instructions.
