The closest stations to the Kuwana Suigo Fireworks Festival venue are Kuwana Station, served by Kintetsu, JR, and the Yoro Railway, and Nishi-Kuwana Station on the Sangi Railway Hokusei Line. From either station, the venue is approximately 18～20 minutes away on foot.

Tips for avoiding crowds: On the day of the fireworks festival, the area around the venue, the station, and the station forecourt become extremely crowded. In particular, the roads from Kuwana Station to the venue can be packed with pedestrians around 18:30～19:30, just before the fireworks begin, making the journey take considerably longer than usual. The return journey is also busiest from 21:00～22:00, immediately after the fireworks end.

• Arrive early: To avoid the crowds, ideally plan to arrive at Kuwana Station before 17:00.
• Use public transportation: Severe traffic jams occur throughout the city every year, especially along National Route 1. Visitors are strongly advised to avoid driving and use public transportation instead.
• Prepare your IC card or ticket: Ticket machines are extremely crowded on the way home, so we recommend buying your return ticket when you arrive at Kuwana Station or charging your transportation IC card with enough balance for at least a round trip.
• Follow controlled departures: After the fireworks, visitors may be asked to leave the venue in stages by area to prevent accidents. Be sure to follow the instructions of security guards and staff, and allow plenty of time for your journey.

1. Riverside on the Nabana no Sato side (the area opposite the main venue) This area is located directly across the Ibi River from the main venue. With relatively few obstructions, it offers near-frontal views of fireworks launched high into the sky, including the 20-shaku fireworks, among the largest in the Tokai region. You can also use the Nabana no Sato parking lot and watch the fireworks from inside the park or the “Sakura Namiki Area” below the Nagara River embankment. Nabana no Sato has plenty of facilities, including restaurants, shops, and restrooms, making it a comfortable place to spend the evening.
2. Embankment roads on the Kuwana city side, a short distance from the venue These areas are along the embankment a short distance upstream or downstream from the main venue at Nabeya-zutsumi. Because they are farther away, they offer a break from the heaviest crowds, and you may be able to find a spot where you can spread out a picnic sheet and watch at your leisure. Visibility may be obstructed in some locations, however, so we recommend arriving early, securing a spot, and checking the view.
3. Around Kyuka Park Kyuka Park, the site of the former Kuwana Castle, is relatively close to the venue. You can enjoy the festive atmosphere while watching fireworks high in the sky from open areas within the park. Restrooms are available in the park, but it is expected to be crowded on the day of the fireworks festival.
4. Around Nagashima Sports Park The area around Nagashima Sports Park, south of the venue, has many relatively open spaces and is one of the spots where you can watch fireworks launched high into the sky. Since it is somewhat far from the venue, it is recommended for those who want to take in the entire display at a relaxed pace.

On the day of the fireworks festival, traffic restrictions are put in place on roads around the venue, and severe traffic jams occur every year. If you are coming by car, you are advised either to use a temporary paid parking lot that requires advance reservations (2,000円 per vehicle) or to park near a station several stops away and take the train, using a “park-and-ride” arrangement.

Q. Can I reserve a spot inside the venue? A. All seating at the Kuwana Suigo Fireworks Festival is paid seating, and reserving a spot in a free area is not permitted at all. Any sheets or other belongings left unattended inside the venue will be removed as soon as they are found and will not be returned or compensated, so please take care.
