Access

Extensive traffic restrictions will be in place around the venue on the day of the Tsu Fireworks Festival, and severe congestion is expected. Using public transportation is strongly recommended.

【By Train or Bus】

• JR・Kintetsu Tsu Station: Paid shuttle buses will run from bus stop 3 at the East Exit to a location near the venue. Fares are 240円 or 280円 one way for adults, depending on the boarding location. Outbound buses are scheduled to run from around 16:00 until 20:00, with the final return bus scheduled for around 22:00.
• Kintetsu Tsu-Shinmachi Station: Approximately 30 minutes on foot to the venue. This is recommended for anyone who would rather not worry about waiting for a bus.
• JR Akogi Station: It takes approximately 20 to 25 minutes to walk to the venue.

【By Car】 Several free temporary parking lots will be available, but they are expected to fill up early.

• Boat Race Tsu: Can accommodate approximately 2,000 vehicles and is relatively close to the venue (within a 10-minute walk).
• Nissho Highway Arena (Saorina): Can accommodate approximately 1,000 vehicles. Paid shuttle buses will also operate from here (280円 one way for adults).
• Tsu Stadium: Available as a paid temporary parking lot (485 spaces, 1,000円 per vehicle).

【Please Be Aware of Traffic Restrictions】 On the day of the fireworks festival, the embankment road will be closed to vehicles and opened exclusively to pedestrians from 18:30 to 22:00. Some sections will also be closed to vehicles from 12:00. Particularly after the fireworks end, partial restrictions will be implemented around areas such as the exits of the Boat Race Tsu parking lot, and severe traffic jams occur every year. To avoid congestion on the way home, it is recommended that you wait before leaving rather than departing immediately after the fireworks finish.

Reserved Seating and Tickets

There are no paid viewing areas for the general public at the Tsu Fireworks Festival.

However, “sponsor invitation seats and invitation zones” will be set up directly in front of the fireworks launch site for event sponsors. Corporate sponsorships are accepted from 1万円, while individual sponsorships start at 1口5,000円; the number of guests and benefits vary depending on the sponsorship amount. Chairs are not provided in the invitation seating area, so you will need to bring a leisure sheet or similar. Same-day sponsorships and invitation tickets cannot be purchased, so be sure to check the official website in advance for details and apply ahead of time.

Lesser-Known Viewing Spots

Akogiura Beach, the main venue, gets extremely crowded, but there are several lesser-known spots where you can still enjoy the fireworks from a little farther away.

• Gotemba Beach（ごてんばかいがん） This broad sandy beach is located south of Akogiura Beach, the main venue. Since it is a little farther from the venue, it is recommended for those who want to enjoy the fireworks in a relatively relaxed setting.

• Around Tsu Yacht Harbor This spot is close to the food-stall area, allowing you to enjoy the fireworks while taking in the festival atmosphere. You can watch the fireworks being launched across the water, and it tends to be less crowded than the main venue. However, the area around the food stalls becomes extremely crowded, so securing a viewing spot early is essential.

• Karasu Beach（からすかいがん） Located in southern Tsu City, this beach is somewhat far from the main venue, but there are few obstructions to the view. It is recommended for those who want to take in the entire fireworks display at a leisurely pace.

• Tsu Nagisa-machi The area around Tsu Nagisa-machi, where ferries to Chubu Centrair International Airport depart and arrive, is another open seaside viewing spot. Located south of Gotemba Beach, it offers unobstructed views of the beautiful fireworks over the water.

• The Embankment Around Boat Race Tsu This area is close to the free temporary parking lot and is said to offer relatively good views of the fireworks. However, the parking lot fills up early, so arriving early is necessary.
