Two days from Tokyo Station: up the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route past Kurobe Dam and the Daikanbo viewpoint, a night under canvas at 2,300 m on the Murodo plateau, and a morning trek to Mikurigaike and up Mt. Tateyama — one of Japan's three sacred mountains, with Fuji and Hakusan. Autumn on this plateau is the "sandan koyo": snow on the peaks, red and gold on the slopes, evergreen below, all at once. Departures September and October only.

Meet at Tokyo Station and board the coach. Please arrive 15 minutes early — the coach leaves on time.
The group gathers with the guide and starts along the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, using the mountain's own transport: buses, cable cars and the ropeway. Highlights on the way up: Kurobe Dam and the Daikanbo observation deck, with the Japanese Alps in autumn colour.
Pitch the tents, sort your gear and start on dinner. The campsite sits in the bowl below Murodo, about 30–40 minutes downhill from the terminal — carry only what you need for the night.
Dinner, time with the group, and the Alps straight in front of you. At 2,300 m the temperature drops fast after sunset — a warm layer and a proper sleeping bag matter more here than anything else you pack.
Up early, wash, breakfast, and first light on the ridges.
Take down the tents and get the gear ready for the day's trek.
Walk out across the Murodo plateau to Mikurigaike, the crater pond that mirrors the peaks, then climb as far as the group's fitness and the weather allow. Tateyama is one of Japan's three sacred mountains, alongside Mt. Fuji and Mt. Hakusan.
Come back down to the pick-up point with the guide.
Board the coach for the return leg.
Arrival at Tokyo Station between about 21:30 and 22:30, depending on traffic. Tour ends here.
