Shinkansen 6-Day Tour: Tokyo, Kyoto, Nara & Osaka by Bullet Train

Share:FacebookXLINE

Highlights

  • 6-day · 6 stops on a fully hour-by-hour itinerary
  • Visit Arrival in Tokyo and rail pass activation + Old Tokyo: Sensō-ji, Nakamise and Ueno and other curated stops

The shortest crossing that still feels like a journey: Tokyo to Osaka on the Tōkaidō Shinkansen, the line that invented high-speed rail. Two days for Tokyo's old east and neon west, then the 2h15 run to Kyoto with Mt. Fuji filling the right-hand window at Shin-Fuji. Kyoto gets two full days — Fushimi Inari's vermilion tunnels, the Golden Pavilion, Arashiyama's bamboo — before Nara's deer and a last night under the neon of Dotonbori. Seats reserved in advance, bags forwarded hotel to hotel, and a local guide waiting in each city.
