Iroha Mountain Road Ranked among Japan's "100 Best Roads," the Iroha Mountain Road covers 15.8 kilometers connecting Nikko City with Lake Chuzenji and Oku-Nikko. Travelers navigate 48 curves on this winding route, both climbing and descending. Lake Chuzenji At Japan's highest elevation for a natural lake, Lake Chuzenji delivers stunning views across all seasons: spring azaleas, summer verdant forests, autumn colors, and winter snow-covered peaks. Located in Yamanouchi, Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture, Nikko Toshogu Shrine is the head shrine of the Toshogu Shrines. Its main enshrined deity is Toshogu Daigongen (Tokugawa Ieyasu), the first shogun of the Edo Shogunate. As a shrine dedicated to his memory, it boasts a wealth of historical relics.
