Yudanaka Onsen Yoroduya

Yoroduya is a long-running inn in Yudanaka Onsen, the gateway to the Jigokudani snow monkeys and Shiga Kogen. Its three private sources feed all the baths, led by the Momoyama Buro, a temple-style wooden bathhouse with a garden open-air pool, registered as a cultural property in 2003. Guests choose between the eight-storey main building and the 1939 wooden Shoraiso wing, six of whose rooms have open-air baths. Dinners are seasonal Shinshu kaiseki with apple-fed beef, served in the room, private dining rooms or a restaurant. The inn states that halal and vegan needs can be met with a week's notice.
