Tsutsujitei

Tsutsujitei sits on a five-thousand-tsubo plot, most of it left as native woodland, with views toward the Shirane range. The main building holds six two-room Japanese rooms with sunrooms and indoor cypress onsen tubs; four detached cottages add semi-open-air baths and in-room dining. The shared Urara-no-yu baths draw Bandaiko spring water into granite and cypress tubs with saunas, while the woodland-framed private open-air bath Tama-no-yu uses the Yubatake source. Kaiseki menus change monthly. The inn does not take groups of ten or more and admits children only in the cottages.
