Overview
Kinnotake Tonosawa is set in forest above the Hayakawa river, seven minutes by bus from Hakone-Yumoto; guests cross a suspension bridge to reach it. All 21 rooms, from 57 m2 standards to a 188 m2 top-floor suite, have Hollywood twin beds, a terrace and an open-air bath of the inn's own golden-tinted alkaline spring, in granite, Aomori hiba or hinoki. Dinner is a seasonal kaiseki that follows the solar calendar, served in a dining room overlooking the forest; there is also a Kobe-beef teppanyaki restaurant. A private pool and sauna, a 24-hour gym, a bar and a spa in a converted farmhouse complete the facilities.
