Overview
Hakone Ginyu sits at about 420 metres in Miyanoshita, three minutes on foot from the Hakone Tozan Railway station, looking across the Hayakawa valley to the Hakone range. All rooms, Japanese or Western style and spread over four floors, have an open terrace with a sofa and an onsen open-air bath. Corridors are laid with tatami. Monthly kaiseki dinners and breakfasts are served in each room's own dining area, and a teppanyaki counter opened recently. The two view baths have saunas and a horizon-edge design. GinyuSpa, in a separate pavilion, offers treatments and a free-flowing private bath for spa guests. Reservations are by phone.
