Kinnotake Sengokuhara

Kinnotake Sengokuhara sits in a bamboo grove at about 700 m on the Sengokuhara plateau, a short walk from the pampas-grass fields. It has only nine suites of 78-136 m2, several of them split-level, and each has a private open-air bath filled with free-flowing, milky, mildly acidic water piped from Owakudani. The inn is designed so guests rarely meet one another. Dinner is Kyoto-style kaiseki served in the suite, with wagyu, lobster and abalone add-ons; vegetarian and vegan menus can be arranged with notice. There is a bar and a one-guest-at-a-time spa, The Moon SPA.
