Overview

The Kayotei is a small inn in the old spa village of Yamanaka, 20 minutes by taxi from Kaga Onsen Station. It keeps only ten suites, several of which can be joined as connecting family suites. Most have a balcony with a private open-air hot spring bath; one has an indoor hot spring tub and one only a shower. Kaga seafood leads the menu, with snow crab and wild duck courses in winter, served in a private dining room. The inn also arranges visits to local artisans' studios and restaurant bookings, and handles overseas guests through an English inquiry form.
