Overview

Beniya Mukayu sits on Yakushiyama, the former site of Yakuoin Onsenji's main hall above Yamashiro Onsen in Kaga. The architecture by Kiyoshi Sey Takeyama opens each of the 16 rooms, from 60 to 120 square metres, onto a garden of red pines, wild cherries and maples, and every room has a private open-air hinoki bath filled with calcium-sodium sulfate onsen water. Dinner is an omakase kaiseki at Kaiseki Horin, built on Kaga seafood from Hashitate port and local vegetables, with a vegetarian course on request. Spa Entei offers treatments using onsen water and medicinal herbs.
