Overview
Hanaori opened in 2017 beside Togendai, the ropeway and pirate-ship terminal at the northern end of Lake Ashi. Two large bath halls use Motohakone hot spring water: one with tiered open-air tubs facing the lake, the other looking onto a garden, with men and women switching overnight. Two semi-open-air private baths can be booked for 40 minutes. Rooms are shoes-off Western and Japanese-Western layouts; several types add a terrace tub filled with ordinary water, not onsen. Dinner and breakfast are Japanese-Western buffets, and the lobby has a water terrace and a foot-bath counter.
