Venue and Map
The fireworks will be launched offshore from Kasumihama (Shiokaze Koen) in the Kasumi area of Kami Town, Mikata District, Hyogo Prefecture. Shiokaze Koen is a seaside park about 5 minutes on foot from Kasumi Station. It features a spacious lawn and event areas and is a popular place for local residents to relax. Because the fireworks are launched from the water, their beautiful reflections on the sea are another highlight unique to this event.
Access
The Kasumi Furusato Festival Marine Fireworks Display can be reached by either public transportation or car.
Access by Train
The venue at Kasumihama (Shiokaze Koen) is just a 5-minute walk from Kasumi Station on the JR San-in Main Line. Since the venue is easily accessible from the station, public transportation is recommended on the day of the event, when heavy crowds are expected.
Access by Car
If you are driving, take National Route 312 from the Tajima Airport IC on the Kitakinki-Toyooka Expressway, then continue toward Kasumi on National Route 178 for approximately 40 minutes. Around 2,300 spaces will be available in free temporary parking areas. The main temporary parking lots include Kasumi Fishing Port (West and East Harbors), nearby elementary school grounds, Kasumi Yamate, and the area beneath Yata Bridge.
Traffic Restrictions and Important Notes
Large-scale traffic restrictions are scheduled around the venue on the day of the event. In particular, some areas will be closed to vehicles from around 19:00 to 21:30. The Toyooka-bound entrance to Kasumi IC on the San-in Kinki Expressway is scheduled to be subject to traffic restrictions from around 20:00 to 24:00. If you are traveling toward Toyooka, using the former National Route 178 is recommended. We recommend securing a parking space by around 15:00 to 16:00. Roads and parking areas around the venue become extremely congested after the fireworks end, so check return-trip traffic restrictions and the time of the last train in advance, and allow plenty of time for your journey home.
Reserved Seating and Tickets
There will be no paid viewing areas at the Kasumi Furusato Festival Marine Fireworks Display. The fireworks can be viewed free of charge, including from the main venue at Shiokaze Koen. However, this may change depending on future official announcements, so please check the official website for the latest information.
Lesser-Known Viewing Spots
The main venue at Shiokaze Koen offers an exciting view, but here are several lesser-known spots for those who want to avoid the crowds and enjoy the fireworks at a more relaxed pace.
West-side promenade along Kasumihama The promenade along Kasumihama, stretching west of Shiokaze Koen, is relatively uncrowded and offers a comfortable place to watch the marine fireworks. It is recommended for anyone who wants to enjoy the fireworks in a peaceful setting while feeling the sea breeze.
Okami Park Located east of Kasumihama, Okami Park sits on elevated ground and offers spectacular views of both the town of Kasumi and the fireworks. It is ideal for those who would like to take in the overall display from a little farther away.
Elevated area around Kasumi Elementary School There are elevated areas around Kasumi Elementary School where the fireworks can also be seen clearly. Because this area is some distance from the main venue, it is recommended for families who want to avoid the crowds.
Area around Yata Bridge The area around Yata Bridge, a little farther from the venue, is another good lesser-known viewing spot. In particular, there are few obstructions blocking the offshore launch area, providing an open view.
We recommend arriving early to secure a spot at any of these lesser-known viewing locations as well.
