FUFU Kawaguchiko sits in woodland by Lake Kawaguchi, a two-minute walk from the Itchiku Kubota Art Museum. All rooms are suites of roughly 59 to 135 square metres with a Mt Fuji outlook, a bioethanol fireplace and an open-air natural hot-spring bath set in Fuji lava stone; the largest suites add a private bedrock bath. There are also gender-separated public baths with saunas. Dinner at the restaurant Yamanoha is Japanese cuisine cooked with firewood and lava stone from local produce, and breakfast is Japanese. In-room Sisley spa treatments are offered. Most suites sleep two; corner and top-floor suites take up to four.
About 15 min by taxi from Kawaguchiko Station; about 15 min by car from Kawaguchiko IC. Free outdoor parking for 28 cars.
