Book a timed ticket online well ahead and take the first morning slot around 9:00; you walk barefoot through knee-deep water, so wear shorts or trousers that roll up. It is a short walk from Shin-Toyosu Station on the Yurikamome line.

One stop back to Shijo-mae for an early sushi lunch around 11:30 in the market's restaurant floors; queues at the famous counters start before opening, but the lesser-known counters on the same floor are just as fresh. The rooftop lawn has a free view over the bay.

3Rainbow Bridge & Odaiba Seaside Park
Ride the driverless Yurikamome along the waterfront to Daiba (about 15 minutes). Walk the artificial beach with Rainbow Bridge and the small Statue of Liberty in front of you; the promenade is the calmest stretch of Tokyo you will find.

DiverCity & the Gundam
The life-size Unicorn Gundam stands outside DiverCity Tokyo Plaza and transforms on the hour in the afternoon and evening. The mall behind it has a food court and the Gundam Base shop for kits; this is the easy place for families to rest.

Bay sunset & the ride back
Around sunset walk back to the Seaside Park terraces or the Decks boardwalk to watch the Rainbow Bridge lights come on. The Yurikamome back to Shimbashi crosses the bridge itself; sit on the right side for the skyline.

Tips
A Yurikamome one-day pass pays off if you make four or more hops; otherwise tap in with an IC card.
Bring a small towel and roll-up trousers for teamLab; shoes go in a locker and floors are wet.
Toyosu counters close early afternoon: eat sushi at lunch, not dinner.
Best Rainbow Bridge shot: from the beach 20 minutes after sunset, when the sky is still blue and the bridge is lit.
