About this experience
Osaka's Minami district in one hour: from the side streets of Minamihorie into America-mura's youth shops, along the Shinsaibashi arcade edge and past the canal signs of Dotonbori to Namba. The lowest-priced route and the one with the most shop signs per minute.
Minami, Osaka's southern downtown, packs its shopping and eating streets tightly together: America-mura, Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori are only a few minutes apart. That makes it a natural one-hour loop.
The route begins near Namba, runs through the side streets of Minamihorie into America-mura, follows the edge of the Shinsaibashi shopping arcade and passes the sign-covered buildings along the Dotonbori canal before returning to Namba. It starts at 10:30, as the shops open. Karts take drivers up to 200 cm tall and 110 kg.
It is the lowest-priced of the nine routes and the quickest way to see Osaka's busiest streets from the road rather than the pavement.
After the drive, Minami is at your feet: street food along Dotonbori, the covered Shinsaibashi-suji arcade, Kuromon Market for seafood, and the Glico running-man sign by the Ebisu Bridge. Everything on the route is within walking distance of Namba Station.
