Kyoto Golf Tour

(multi-day packages)

Request for booking

Kyoto is not a play-and-return destination — coming here means staying. Mornings on a Kansai course, evenings back in the old city: Fushimi Inari before the crowds, the Gion lanes, and a Kyoto table. That is why this package exists only in its multi-day form.

Courses in this area

  • Joyo Country Club
  • Kyoto Golf Club
  • Meishin Yokaichi Country Club

These are the notable courses we usually arrange in this area — they are not tee times already held. Send us your dates and we ask the clubs, then come back with real availability and cost.

The trip

Tokyo to Kyoto is about two and a half hours by shinkansen, or fly into Osaka. One round each morning, the city each evening. We handle the transfers to the course and the restaurant bookings; the shinkansen or flight is quoted separately because its price moves by the day.

The trip

How a golf day runs

  1. 04:45The car meets you in the hotel lobby and the bags go in the boot. Tokyo has not jammed up yet at this hour, so the run out to the course is nearly an hour shorter than in daylight.
  2. 05:15Arrive at the club, check in, and loosen up on the practice range. Rental clubs are already set aside in your name if you did not bring your own.
  3. 05:45Tee off on eighteen holes played straight through, with no break in the middle. An English-speaking pro walks the whole round with you: reading the course, picking clubs, and interpreting with the caddie.
  4. 10:15The round finishes and you bathe at the clubhouse. Almost every Japanese course has a hot bath, not just showers — it is built into the timing here, so do not skip it.
  5. 11:00Into the car for Tokyo. If you would rather eat lunch at the clubhouse first, say so in advance and the whole schedule shifts an hour later.
  6. 12:00Back at your Tokyo hotel with the whole afternoon still ahead of you — meetings, shopping, whatever else. That is the entire point of the half-day package.

This is a sample schedule, not a booked time. Your real pickup is worked backwards from the tee time the course gives you — tell us the course and the date and we do that maths and come back to you.

FAQ

How does booking work — is it instant?
It is not an instant-confirm button. You send a request at the bottom of this page and we reply with a written quote: the final price, exactly what it covers, and the cancellation terms for that specific trip. The booking exists only once you accept that quote. Slower than a Book Now button, but nothing gets sold to you that is not actually available.
Will we be grouped with other travellers?
No. Every tour in these two sections is private: your party only, your own vehicle, your own host. No sharing, no waiting on strangers.
Do we need to bring our own clubs?
Not required. Every course rents sets, and we reserve them in advance to the handedness and height you give in your request. Bringing your own is fine too — the vehicle takes them, and we handle club shipping on multi-day trips.
Where does pickup and drop-off happen?
Pickup and drop-off at your hotel inside the central area of the city named on the tour, included in the price. Outside that area we can still collect you — the surcharge is written into the quote, never added when you get in the car.
Can the itinerary be changed?
Yes. The hour-by-hour schedule above is the version that works best, not a fixed mould. More driving time, a different meal, an extra night, or dropping a leg — write it in your request; the price moves with it and the change is spelled out in the quote.
What languages does the team speak?
Put the language you want in your request. The quote tells you whether someone who speaks it is free ON YOUR DATE — we do not promise a language and then tell you on the day that nobody is available.
When and how do we pay?
You pay nothing before you have read and accepted the quote. Payment method, payment dates and which part needs a deposit to hold a third-party booking are all written into that quote. Nothing appears afterwards.
How far ahead should we book?
The earlier the surer. Helicopters, ryokan rooms, supercars and tables at small restaurants all have very few slots a day — money does not conjure one up. Ask anyway if your dates are close: if it is open we will take it, and if it is not we will say so plainly.
