This tour fits it into a SINGLE day: an early coach from Tokyo Station (or Kanayama Station in Nagoya), in the valley by midday, four free hours to walk the blazing larch forest along the Azusa River, then back on the coach and home the same evening. No hotel to book, no second day off work. The valley paths are flat — Taisho Pond to Kappa Bridge is only about 3.5 km, easy for anyone.
