The beauty of the fireworks reflected on the surface of the bay is a special attraction unique to a marine fireworks festival.
Access
Because the Susaki Festival Marine Fireworks attracts many visitors from both within and outside the prefecture, the area around the venue is expected to be crowded on the day. Using public transportation and setting out early are recommended.
By Train
It takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes to walk from JR Susaki Station on the Dosan Line to Fujigahama. With the cooperation of JR Shikoku, additional special trains are scheduled to run in line with the end of the fireworks display. Check the special train timetable in advance to help avoid the crowds on the way home.

From the Susaki-Higashi IC on the Kochi Expressway, the venue area is approximately 5 minutes away by car—about 4 km—via National Route 56.

These lots are located at several spots throughout the city, and the Susaki City Tourism Association will provide updates on availability from around 16:00 on the day. Checking before you leave is recommended.

Best Viewing Spots
The area around the main venue gets extremely crowded, so here are several less-known spots where you can enjoy the fireworks in a more relaxed setting from a little farther away.
Kuwatayama With its high elevation, Kuwatayama is a spectacular viewpoint offering a panoramic look at the entire fireworks display. Since it is a little removed from the city center, the powerful sound of the launches is muted, but the contrast between the fireworks and the night view of Susaki is exceptional. It is also an excellent spot for photography, but many parts of the route are dark, so be sure to bring a flashlight or similar light.
Roadside Station Kawauso-no-sato Susaki Although it is some distance from the venue, the area around Roadside Station Kawauso-no-sato Susaki is also known as a good place to watch the fireworks. It has parking, making it convenient to access by car.
Fuji Susaki Store The area around the shopping center's Fuji Susaki Store is another place where you can watch the fireworks. It is recommended for those who would like to enjoy the display while doing some shopping.
Cruise Viewing Some years offer plans that allow passengers to board a cruise boat around Susaki Bay and watch the fireworks from the water. This special viewing option lets you experience the fireworks reflected on the surface of the bay and the power of the two-shaku shells up close from a unique marine vantage point. Plans including a special boxed meal and drinks are typically available, and advance reservations are required.
