Meet your driver at New Chitose Airport. Check in, then an easy first evening: Odori Park, the old Clock Tower, and dinner in Susukino — miso ramen or a Genghis Khan lamb grill.
Day 2
09:00Otaru day: canal, glass workshops & sushi· 480 min
Forty minutes to Otaru. Walk the stone warehouses along the canal, browse the glass and music-box workshops on Sakaimachi Street, and eat sushi where the fish landed this morning. Back in Sapporo for the evening.
Day 3
08:30Furano & Biei: patchwork hills and the Blue Pond· 540 min
Drive into central Hokkaido's farm country. Rolling patchwork fields around Biei, the milky-turquoise Blue Pond with its ghost birches, and in season the lavender terraces of Farm Tomita. Night in a Furano-area hotel.

A scenic cross-island drive south. Walk the boardwalks of Jigokudani — 'Hell Valley' — where the mountainside steams and the streams run warm, then soak it all off in your onsen hotel.

Morning on Lake Toya: volcano views from the lakeside, a short cruise if the weather plays along. Return to Sapporo for a last dinner — crab is the classic choice.
