11:00 — Togetsukyo Bridge + Hozugawa River

• 155m "Moon-Crossing Bridge"
• Spectacular in autumn (red leaves) and spring (sakura)
• Rent a rowing boat — ¥1,700/hour/4 people

12:30 — Yudofu lunch

• Kaiseki yudofu at Shoraian (¥4,500), or matcha-soba at Arashiyama Yoshimura (¥1,200)

14:00 — Iwatayama Monkey Park

• 20-minute hike to the top
• Meet 170 Japanese macaques roaming free; feed them peanuts/apple slices through a wire screen (¥100)
• Sweeping views of Kyoto from the summit

16:00 — Okochi Sanso Villa

• The private estate of Showa-era actor Okochi Denjiro
