Emerging from the dark tunnel to find an emerald-green sea spreading out before your eyes is truly a breathtaking sight. 　 Also not to be missed are “道の駅スペース・アップルよいち,” visited on the way there, and “田中酒造亀甲蔵,” visited on the return journey. 道の駅スペース・アップルよいち is especially popular for its apple pies made with apples from 余市町 and its creamy soft-serve ice cream. At 田中酒造亀甲蔵, you can purchase local sake from 小樽 as a souvenir and enjoy tastings. 　 This course travels along a richly varied coastline, making the scenery from the bus windows one of the highlights of the journey.
